Hi Everyone!

Hard to believe, but the end of summer is closing in on us. Schools start their new academic year over the next two weeks, and Labor Day isn’t too far behind!

Yarn Discovery Tour

Ewes d’bleu will be participating in the Yarn Discovery Tour again this year. Yarn passports go on sale starting Tuesday, August 18. The tour itself starts on Tuesday, Sept 8 and goes on through Sept 26. Last year, this was a very popular event. Be sure to stop by and get your passport!

The Felted Soap classissue-9-blog

Was a lot of fun. Everyone went home with their own piece of felted soap to keep or give as a gift. We’ll be holding this class again in November, so keep an eye on future issues of the newsletter for more information.

We’re excited because we have a bunch of nifty, new items at the store:

  • We now carry a selection of jūl Design shawl closures. These stylish pieces are the perfect accent for your hand-knit item. Come in to see our selection and to see how we have used them on some shop samples.
  • The fall issue of Knit Purl is here, and this issue has some great patterns.
  • Also, we’ve started to carry the Mountain Color Perspectives color gradient kits. Each kit contains 5 mini-skeins of yarn in different jewel tone palettes. Depending on yarn weight, these kits have a total yardage ranging from 225 to 450 yards – perfect for a shawl, scarf, or pair of fingerless mitts!

Finally, we’d like to give a big shout-out to Marilyn. Her custom-designed, top-down cardigan is knit using Baah Sonoma and looks simply fabulous! Great job,Marilyn!!
